confidence4 [280560]There are times when we all struggle with confidence, when we put ourselves down and think nothing but negative thoughts. I am going to be real with you guys and say that in the last week or so my confidence has been fairly low. But luckily I have tried to change that and my methods seem to be working. Tip #1: Wear a Kick Ass Outfit

I know it sounds extremely superficial, but honestly it works! I know that when I am feeling sorry for myself all I want to do is stay in my sweatpants & sweatshirt and sit on the couch while wallowing in my sorrows. But as soon as I put on an outfit that makes me feel amazing, I feel 100x better. For instance here I paired these skinny jeans with my heeled sandals and added on this wool blazer for a more polished look. Even though I was just running to the grocery store, I felt amazing and my confidence increased because of that.

Tip #2: List 5 Things You Love About Yourself

Cliché right?  But it actually works. Typically we loose confidence in ourselves because we are picking ourselves apart, seeing all of the little, unimportant, exterior flaws of ourselves and as a result we think less of ourselves. I found that by just listing off 5 little things that I love about myself my confidence increases, I feel better about myself and it forces me to see the good and not the bad.

Tip #3: Go Workout

Instead of sitting on the couch with a box of chocolates, thinking negative thoughts, go and workout! Working out increases your endorphin levels, resulting in a happier you ( remember what Elle said from Legally Blonde? ) When you are in a better mood it is harder to think negatively of yourself. Plus after I complete an extremely hard workout I feel so proud of myself, which in turn gives me a little confidence boost.
